Before I was building summer programs or reviewing lesson plans and staffing schedules, I was simply a mom trying to figure out what summer should look like for my own child.
Like so many of you, I wanted a place where my daughter — who is still young — could spend a full day feeling safe, confident, and excited. Not overstimulated. Not shuffled around. Not counting the minutes until pickup. Familiarity mattered to her… and as a working mom, dependable childcare mattered to me.
I wanted a space she already knew. A space she trusted. A place where she could truly be a kid all summer long.
That’s exactly why CAMP ConfiDANCE was born two summers ago — and I’m proud to say my girlie, Brooklynne, loved it just as much as the campers we serve.
One of the very first non-negotiables was this: CAMP ConfiDANCE could not be “just a dance camp.” Yes, dance may show up in joyful ways — but this program was intentionally designed to serve all children. It’s about movement, creativity, friendships, leadership, sensory play, and FUN — without performance pressure.
Because what I needed as a mom had to serve a bigger purpose, too.
Over the years, I noticed something while placing my older daughter in camps: many expect the same counselors to give 100% energy from early morning drop-off through afternoon pickup. That’s hard — especially when many counselors are teens and leaders-in-training.
So we did something different and many of you have experienced our Magic Makers in ACTION! They are awesome!
We intentionally staff AM and PM counselors, keeping the energy fresh and enthusiasm high while also supporting our young leaders so they feel empowered — not burnt out. When counselors are supported, their experience for campers is stronger. And that difference is felt throughout the day.
Each week of CAMP ConfiDANCE follows a thoughtfully designed lesson plan that includes:
- Sensory experiences
- Community building
- Leadership lessons
- Creative crafts
- Physical activity
- Weekly themed moments kids can’t wait for
And because childhood memories are built through experiences, we proudly partner with local businesses and community members who share our heart for kids.
From water days and Italian Ice trucks (KONA ICE!) to a children’s author (HUSTLE B, BUSTLE BEE,JOSEPH JOHNSON), Zumba instructor (KARINA’S CHOREOGRAPHY) , floriculture classes (K and K Events) , the Geico Gecko of Hamilton 🦎 — and countless surprises in between — these are the moments kids remember. The summer before? We had bunnies, balloon artists, face painting and more!
And yes… we’re already planning to uplevel it again this summer.
Here is the reality- real families function off of rigid schedules or pressure over the summer. Who are we kidding, even my boss gives me surprise days off once in a while ;). That is why we built CAMP ConfiDANCE to offer:

It’s concierge-level flexibility that allows families to plan summer their way.
While we’re proud to be known as a premium, boutique DANCE studio, CAMP ConfiDANCE was intentionally designed to be price-friendly. We’re not talking about a 45-minute dance class — we’re committing to eight hours a day of safety, care, and memory-making. Those are very different things.
My goal was simple:
- Safe
- Supported
- Genuinely happy kids
- Meaningful summer memories
…without summer becoming financially overwhelming for any family.
Watching Summer CAMP ConfiDANCE grow has been incredibly special — especially knowing it was built first from a mom’s heart. I really hope that this summer you give it a go and enjoy a week or two!
